it’s been a while since i updated this blog.  i’ve been botting around the web kasi so walang time.  ngayon, wala pa rin akong time, gusto ko lang i-share ang mga pakilig stuff na nakikita ko lately (although if you’re a friend at FB, nakita mo na ‘tong mga ‘to. harhar!

decisions, decisions…

i’m facing yet another mind-boggling crossroad and i’m only given the weekend to think things through

i’m in dire need of an enlightened decision, and so aside from just driving myself crazy weighing pro’s and con’s, i’m consulting sensible & trustworthy friends. i’m also browsing the web for “signs” and horoscopes (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! “what’s with Scorpio’s and horoscopes,” sabi nga ng team mate ko sa CVG dati).

anyway, my one and only colleague saw me reading my horoscope today. she just smiled. she’s a free thinker, and has claimed countless of times that she doesn’t believe in anything (luck, religion, etc.)

“I have no one to pray to for money,” she jests.

so when i asked her earlier if she never, even once, looked into her horoscope, she said, “No. I don’t believe in things like that. I only believe in opportunity.”

- makakatambay na ko sa common areas anytime i want, at maski maghapon even if i just want to sit quietly.

- hindi na mangangamoy ulam ang sinampay ko

- dalawa na lang kaming magsheshare sa isang banyo (at hindi na 5/7/10)

- relaxing lang talaga sa loob ng ka-shalahan…

- at siyempre pa, hindi na ko mawawalan ng gamit, maski iwan ko pang bukas ang pinto ng kwarto ko forever.  ‘yun ‘yun, e.

ang galing-galing!!!

yung storya, umikot sa unusual friendship ng isang street performer at immigrant na musician din. unusual kasi alam naman natin na gusto nila ang isa’t isa pero dahil may something pa sila sa mga ex nila ang nangyari parang inudyukan pa nila ang isa’t isa na makipagbalikan sa mga yun… at nangyari ang lahat nang yan habang gumagawa sila ng music.

yon. kung di mo ma-gets, ayos lang kasi di talaga ako marunong gumawa ng review ng kung anu-ano. basta ang galing ng pagkagawa!!! it’s very raw. akala nga daw ng mga utao docu yung film at hindi fiction.

at dahil isa ‘tong modern musical, astig ang soundtrack:D (yun e para sa ‘kin dahil mahilig ako sa mga tipo ng kantang featured) most of the songs, singer-songwriter ang genre, so kung trip mo rin yun, bumili ka na ng DVD dahil panalo talaga!!! may special feature pa yung cd na pwede mong paulit-ulitin yung scene ng song na gusto mo:D BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

mahilig ako sa street signs na may ang double meaning (o pwede nating gawan ng isa pang kahulugan).

nung nagpunta kami ng HK, nakita ko ‘to… tinuro ko kina chelly. buti nakunan ni nelo ng picture (kasi tinatamad ako magkuha non… hahaha!!! walang kwentang byahera)

sabi nila, baka kasi daw nangangagat yung vehicles pero ang una ko talagang naisip nung nakita ko yan pa-environmental chu.

tama e diba, beware of vehicles, kasi oo, pinapagaan nyan ang buhay nyo ngayon pero potah, papatayin ka nyan ‘di lumaon.

i am (somewhat) good with my hands

back in 2005 i was working for this ad agency. i was part of their ’special’ team handling PR/events/new biz and etc. one time our team was assigned to create a model for a trophy, so our graphic artist bought boxes of clay at the nearest NBS.

during our spare time, we created hornlike figures for the said model. after a few days we were able to produce a model but it didn’t quite look like what they pictured it to be, so our boss decided to just buy real horn displays from Balikbayan Handicrafts.

so we had millions of clay lying around the work area… and every time we saw them there was the urge to just play with them.

at first we just used them like stress balls. we clutched on those squishy, sticky, red clay til it stained our palms while we try to squeeze our creative juices for whatever task we had. then, when the time came that we didn’t have much to do, we started making dart boards out of scratch papers or cardboards and played, well, clay darts

later still, we started getting serious with the clay. L (our graphic artist) made ‘patrick starfish’, A (our project manager) made a flower, I on the other hand came up with this…

i really had no idea that i could model clay… and so i thought, “if i made that, maybe i can make one more, and if it turns out fine too THAT means I have potential.” so i tried making another one…

and then another…

and so, before i got fired (BWAHAHAHAH!!!) i’ve my own “three wise monkeys”

i believe i made 2 or 3 more clay faces, but someone asked if they can keep it and so i gave it to her.

a year ago, just to test if i still have it, i bought some cheap bareta clay from puregold…

behold, johnny.

hope i’d get to model clay more… and buy the real clay used for this kind of thing (ang mahal!!!) hay…
